"We have been driving to Round Rock for medical treatments every weekday for five weeks now, so our pantry and refrigerator have kind of been on the bare side as we've been eating drive-thru food more than ever and we have just been too worn out from the heat and driving to order and pick up groceries. Being gone most of the day during the past five weeks during the weekday's leaves little time to go get something that's not fast food for dinner. He enjoyed his Cordon Blue meal very much and the red cabbage was very delicious as well. He also enjoyed the mixed vegetables and said that they were very fresh tasting. I got the same thing again, but I always get the same thing, the Jagersnitzel which comes with a very generous amount of very large mushrooms in the gravy that are extremely fresh and very delicious. The Goulash Soup from this restaurant is amazing and the best we've ever had. The portions are HUGE , especially when many restaurants seem to be raising prices and the portions seem to be getting smaller. The Goulash Soup is a meal in itself. This time we had basically half of each meal leftover and we will be eating it tomorrow for dinner. We're getting back to our regular routine and I had no idea how worn out the treatments his Dr. had planned would wear us both down so much. I'm probably more worn down than he is from driving in the traffic and the heat.
I thought I had already tasted the best German food the last time we were in Fredericksburg, but little did I know it was actually less than four miles away from our home. Thank you so much to the staff at Zum Edelweiss for making this a very stress free weekend after a long five weeks of stressful days. Incredible food that's very affordable. My husband is more adventurous and so he's been ordering the #26 Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak the past couple of times we have ordered from Jersey Mike's. They are really nice sized but I always order the extra meat on them. I like how you are able to see the driver and which route they take to your house. There was no doubt that John, our Dasher has been to our neighborhood as he took the fastest route instead of the mapped route. It's a lot easier and faster than the mapped route shows.
I tend to find something that I like and I generally get it every time, but I do occasionally try a different kind and I have yet to order anything from Jersey Mike's that I haven't throughly enjoyed. I'm definitely a hot sandwich person and the subs were just like they would have been if I had gone to pick them up. Our delivery driver was very friendly and was professional. I liked that he called me by my first name which made it a more personal experience, like a friend picked up the order for me and dropped it off at my house. It couldn't have been any better. Jersey Mike's has by far got the rest of the sub shops beat by a long shot in my opinion and it's the only place we now buy subs from.
