When I opened the box to just a piece of cheesecake on top of some pound cake with minimal strawberries I was instantly disappointed. It was better than it looked but should have had more strawberries and the cheesecake all throughout it and it would have been much better. I got it to share and it was really hard to share half a sandwich when only half of it had cheesecake on it. But overall the food was fresh and only a little limp from transportation. "I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but overall it fell short of expectations. The presentation was impressive, and at first glance it looked like a thoughtfully prepared, upscale dish. Unfortunately, the flavors didn’t match the appearance. The food lacked seasoning, depth, and balance, which made the experience feel underwhelming and overpriced for the quality received.
The chicken and waffles arrived fresh, and the texture was great. The tenders were large and crispy, and the waffles had a nice golden finish. However, the chicken itself had no noticeable seasoning or flavor. I’m not even sure if I received the spiked honey, because it didn’t add any sweetness or heat. The apples were cooked well and added a small touch of freshness, but they couldn’t make up for the lack of flavor in the main dish.
Both the Lavender Lemonade and the Strawberry Lemonade were also disappointing. They were watered down, lacking sweetness and brightness. Even after accounting for the ice, they still tasted flat and uninspired. The flavor was closer to a basic fast-food lemonade than a handcrafted drink.
The portion sizes were fair, and the meal was neatly packaged and arrived in good condition. However, the flavors simply didn’t deliver. The restaurant aims for an upscale experience, but the food tasted basic and one-dimensional. For the price point, I expected more care and attention to seasoning.
In short, the food looked great but had very little flavor. It felt like high-end presentation with no taste to match. I won’t be ordering again."
