I ordered the Valentine special and EVERYTHING was good! I highly recommend especially for a date night treat in . Ensalada Tamarindo was good, the shrimp were huge! The torta chocolate was heaven! Pastelilios are delicious too! Everything was packaged safe and secure. And everything was cooked well and was fresh.

Okay the food was not horrible but this is definitely not what I think Puerto Rican taste is.
I ordered the Pork Belly Mofongo, Pernil Casero, Pastelillos, Mojo, Flan, y las bebidas.
Mind you this was all over 95 dollars.
The Mofongo wasn't anything amazing it was good but it wasn't there honestly. It came in a small container with like 5 pieces of pork (most of it was fat)
The arroz con gandules y pernil wasnt bad but again it wasn't good. It was bland. As a Hispanic I've learned multiple things and it's that flavor is everything and genuinely it just wasn't there especially for the price.
The pastelillos was my tip of the iceberg. I ordered two for 10 and the both FIT in my hand. You can go to a food truck and order one for 3 dollars with flavor that's bigger.
Then there's the flan. I don't even remember how much I paid for it but it came in a small cup. I will say the flavor and texture ten out of ten. I would've ordered more if I knew the portions were gonna be the size of a quarter.

Beyond delicious. Sandwiches are huge, fresh, and tasty. I'm obsessed with the virgin pina colada. I order it so I can sip it by the pool and pretend I'm in the Caribbean and not Navy Yard

Been going to La Famosa since they opened. The Arroz con Gandules and Tostones are so wonderful, they remind me of my Aunt's cooking. The Jibarito is always a win, the chicken is so tender. Also love the chocolate torta when it's on the menu. Really glad to have this restaurant in the navy yard!

The Shrimp Mofongo was decent! Not as good as the mofongo in PR, but worth getting again. Very tasty shrimp. The Mantecaditos were tasty too. Good portion on everything. Great Dasher too.
