I'm a vegan who rarely eats out, or orders food; Taim may change that.
Last night I ordered a PLATE , specified vegan and ordered a side of green falafel.
The order came quickly; hot items were still hot.
Specifically, I ordered mixed greens (fresh! and tasted like something!); marinated beets, marinated chick peas (both way above expectations); Moroccan carrots (mind expandingly delicious... they're carrots with GARLIC & cilantro and mint); fried eggplant (meltingly tender & perfectly seasoned). Green falafel was delightfully fried: light, not greasy, with intriguing seasoning.
The star was the dab of red pepper babaganoush. This was almost a smoky eggplant, red pepper & olive oil emulsion-- it was so silky and rich that any more than a dollop would have been too much.
I ordered the plate with the lemon mint dressing; it was added with a light hand, and was the perfect complement.
The plain pita was so so, but perfect for wiping up the babaganoush

We loved this place when in Northern Virginia and were very disappointed when they shut down in 2024.
The PLATE was delicious, fresh and the BAG OF PITA (6)(their pita in general) is delicious. Highly recommend and will order again when in Dupont.

My first order. The spicy falafel, the pickled cabbage, and the shwarma cauliflower were delightful. Really liked the garlic sauce -- flavorful, but not overpowering. The red pepper babaganoush was a bit underwhelming-- would not order that again. The roasted eggplant was great texture, but not seasoned -- no worries a little smoked sea salt at home fixed that. A bit pricey, but would enjoy treating myself here from time-to-time.

Missed the dressing for my salad. Ingredients weren't as tasty as usual. Eggplant was watery and squishy. Not flavorful at all. Curry ketchup was super curry forward and the fries were also squishy. Entire meal was not good - totally unlike usual.

Fresh, impeccably made food that's well seasoned and well portioned. Will order again.
Only issue is the fries, while delicious, don't travel well.
