I love Akebono! The last time I ordered it, it wasn't great but I gave it another try  because I'd had so many good experiences before. Tonight everything was perfect. The Philly Roll was fresh and plump, the Compressor Roll was saucy, the Pork Dumplings were tasty if a little salty and the Oh Snap Roll was something I hadn't had before but will definitely get again.

I thought the Crispy Rolls and Dynamite Mussels would be better especially when you're paying around $13 for only four of them. They changed something about the Akebono Edamame and it wasn't as good as usual. The miso soup was good and the malibu crunch roll was decent enough.

The Malibu crunch roll was given with old avocado black almost and scallions seemed left out too long had brown on top. The unagi nigiri for $3.50 seemed over priced considering the roll was very small .

Agedashi Tofu was a disgusting oily mess without seasoning or freshness. Cupid Roll was decent and flavorful. Small Sashimi was tiny and not worth the price. Dynamite Mussels were sandy. Will not be ordering from here again.

The price has gone up so much.  We always order the same thing and its $50 but we ordered this time and it was $68 
We love this restaurant the food is outstanding but I can't afford $68 for one meal for 2 people
