Portion was small for the cost. 1 medim sized breast and 2 small sides for $26. No biscut or cornbread. Chicken over fried. Some parts could not even be chewed. Used to be way better. TBH Popeyes is better for half the price.

That Coconut Pineapple Layer Cake is the best in the whole entire city. It's large and fresh, it's like your grandma made it. I would order this again in a heartbeat. That Southern Fried Chicken was so damn good, my god nobody is making macaroni and cheese and collard greens like Melba's. Good till the last bite.

The Hamburger Sliders are so tiny compared to what I'm used to as sliders .The Side of Wings (3) are delicious well seasoned and arrived hot

I'm usually a fan and for the price, I tend to reserve this restaurant for when I'm excited to treat my family. So it was very dissappointing when the rice we got with the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass was so stale. It literally tasted like old food and threw the whole dish off. The last time we ordered the collard greens also tasted terrible- like it went bad someone tried to season it up to mask it. At the time we said maybe it was a bad batch and let it slide. Melba's is slipping...
