9/26/2022: i don't think i'll order from here on door dash again, not because of the food quality or any issues with the staff, but because it seems like the menu on doordash may not be set up properly to get your order right.
i ordered the bbq bacon burger (really good) and the pepper jack burger with a side of waffle fries ("warning": it's a lot of fries!!!) and coleslaw (delicious and i'm still eating it as i'm writing this) from duffy's for delivery while my car was broken down. while the food was very tasty it seems like there may have been a mix-up on the doordash platform because the pepper jack burger came only with the pepper jack cheese and no fried onions + no jalapeños.
this seems like something that couldn't be messed up unless there was some mixup happening with the ordering/options. also neither of our orders came with pickles even though it's in the item description. my friend was a bit disappointed about this since at the end of the day it's supposed to be a $15 burger which a bunch of good stuff on it so we ended up calling them.
when we called they said we would have to talk to door dash about the lack of toppings which is completely understandable --- not much you can do about it once it's already at your house... and that also planted the idea in my head that there may be an issue with the ordering platform itself. i would maybe opt for calling them directly if you want delivery/pickup unless you wanna take the chance.
but the food was so good otherwise that i'll still give 4 stars and i want to go try duffy's in person when my car is fixed with all the toppings that are supposed to be on there :)

Had a terrible burger from a different place last night. The only way I could think to fix things was to get a Duffy's Tavern burger today! Today I ordered the Steakhouse Burger. I'm a professional Chef who cares a lot about burgers and I must say that these are among the top burgers in any borough but, they are far and away the best burger that Staten Island's ever had. The meat itself is so deeply flavored that you won't want a burger from anywhere else. Most of the burgers come on an English muffin, which doesn't sound great but, believe me, you just need a delivery mechanism for this meat blend. I'm definitely going to miss this place when I leave Staten Island.

I don’t typically complain, especially about a place I enjoy, like Duffys. Their food is usually on point, but today’s order fell short. I cant to chalk it up to being busy since it was Labor Day and it was not particularly hectic, and looked emptier than usual.
Here are the specifics:
- Cheeseburger with fries, bacon, and tomato: the bacon was undercooked, nearly raw, and I had to throw it out
- Chicken club with fries: I received only the club sandwich, no fries.
- Extra honey mustard: I ordered it but did not receive it.
- Overall value: The order was over $100, and I would expect to get exactly what I paid for. Some items were missing or misprepared.
I did not check the order before leaving, which is on me, but I assumed a slower day would reduce mistakes rather than increase them. I definitely did not expect uncooked bacon. I’ll still go back to Duffys, but I’ll be more vigilant to ensure the order is correct before leaving.
