In the center of Hoboken, NJ, Karma Kafe - An Indian Bistro is located at 505 Washington Street. In 1999, we opened our trend-setting modern Indian restaurant. Karma Kafe is steeped in tradition while…
It was a bit spicy for me, but it was definitely flavourful and cooked perfectly. I'd probably change the rice used for Chicken Biryani , but other than that I was very happy with the portion, flavour and price for it. Would definitely order again with added instructions for spice level.

I am new to the city, and have been exploring Indian Restaurants to find a new regular spot. Karma Kafe has sealed its place for my go to curries. The package was neat and tightly packed. Chicken Kali Mirch had the tangy and spiciness and cooked to perfection. Loved the two sides curries come with, dal and rice which makes the dish whole. The size of Naan is perfect, they did not skim like most Indian restaurants. I highly recommend ordering from this Restaurant.

I got the 16$ Lamb Korma that came with the smallest amount of rice, like a laughable amount of rice. The desert was the gajar halwa was dry and tasted stale. I will not be ordering again. I ordered nearly 70$ worth of food and it was mostly a waste and not worth the price.

The worst indian food around pretty sad for Jersey City. Chicken tika masala tasteless watery sauce could have been any given chicken in a lighlty creamy tomato sauce, naan must have been baked the day before it was hard as a rock, lamb curry not better, chick pea out of the can with a tasteless sauce and no seasonning extra 8 oz of rice those people should known the difference between a half pint container *oz and a quater pint container4 oz that is what they serve their rice on basically reaping you off of half the weigh or volume if youd like.
I am a professional chef and never wrote a review or bad review for any of the places that I eat or order from, I do known how reviewers can be difficult sometimes. But after spending 75$ in what I can not describe as anything else but garbage I feel compelled to share my opinion about this so called restaurant. No to mention the delivery guys who did not ring my bell but just open my front door unannounced and the food spelled all over the bag. I still need to give one star in order to review but not worse any.
