small portions; both the coffee and the food.
I bought myself a Cortado, which I anticipated would be small, as well as a Latte- Hot. I got the large latte and between the two, no exaggeration, I had seven sips of coffee. Again, my expectation for the Cortado was that it would be small, but the latte was disappointing.
That said, not withstanding the portion issue, both drinks themselves were phenomenal. If it had not taken 40 minutes to get here I would have ordered two more lattes…
I also got the bacon, egg, and cheese empanada. Again, the portion was disappointing. I feel like I'm coming across as some sort of 6'10 350lbs guy, but all I can say to that is I generally can't even finish a salad when I eat. I finished the empanada in three bites. Two of those bites were just crust and no filling. Perhaps I read the menu wrong but they should probably come in portions of three unless they are just a starter or appetizer.
But again, once my complaints about portion size are over, the empanada itself was terrific. Trying not to be repetitive but being directly repetitive… But for the wait time I would have ordered another two or three of them.
Overall, I would give this restaurant 3/5 stars for the purposes of home delivery. I imagine most if not all of my issues would've been remedied if I were there, as the two star loss is solely due to the portion size.
I opened up my bag, sat down with a new book I purchased, and expected to have a nice relaxing weekend morning, only to have to go get in my car and drive somewhere else to pick up takeout 10 minutes after I started my book
