• 1/5/25The grecian salmon looked exactly like its picture. What we were more impressed with was that we got a whole loaf of The Village Squire's delicious bread...still hot! AND a bag popcorn, just like you get in a basket at your table! Our dining experience at home was made so special by those extra touches.
Of course, the salmon was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the broccoli, I don't know how they manage to make it bright green, tender, but not overcooked!
A 5-star food experience! We will definitely order from The Village Squire in South Elgin. Just be sure to put the word "The" in front or you'll get the restaurant in Dundee.

• 7/13/26Full slab rib dinner was awesome. Barbecue sauce was great. The meat on the spareribs was tender, , and the baked potato was good size, as was the salad. And I might add, thank you , so much,for the small bag ,of popcorn. It was appreciated. I lLoved the thoughtfulness.

• 9/2/23I ordered The Onion soup it tasted like very salty water. Like, really old sitting in there for days, type of soup. Their loaf of bread is always really good but they put the butter in with the warm stuff and I had liquid butter. I also had a loaded baked potato tasted like an old potato, it wasn't light and fluffy, and the sour cream was like liquid because it was in with the hot stuff. The cold slaw was also put in with the hot stuff and tasted gross. I also got a full slab of ribs. The ribs were hot when they arrived, but they were so dry Because they were overcooked. I have eaten at this restaurant and done pick up And the food has never been this bad. I feel like I wasted fifty dollars.

• 4/16/22shrimp tacos had shrimp bits that added up to maybe 1 shrimp per taco. pretzel was not as big as I expected for the price. overall over priced food

• 6/4/22pretzel is good and fresh, the mustard is perfect, $9.99 would be sufficient tho. $14.99 is a lot. The baked French onion soup was barely warm, tasteless and greasy. Carrot cake is good.
