I've always loved the food here. so glad their on DD now. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Nashville Chicken Sandwich. it was spicy but so delicious especially dipped in Buttermilk Ranch . the Beef Brisket Sandwich was juicy and tender.

Flavors of the sliced brisket and hot links were delicious! Didn't give much brisket though compared to how many sausages you get. They gave full-sized sides which was awesome - bigger than I expected. The Mac and cheese was a lil funky.... but I wasn't mad at it. Just not my favorite! Coleslaw was pretty standard but still flavorful. Tasted like the used some onion in it which I appreciate. Cornbread was dry and no sweetness - will probably have the leftover with some butter and sprinkle a little sugar. Biggest disappointment: my slice of key lime pie was so tiny that it was comical! Which is a shame, because it was the best key lime pie I've ever had! Not worth the price unless they can be more generous. Overall, a little steep but I mostly enjoyed my meal.

We got the "buy one,get one free" 2 Meat plate and an order of Jambalaya. Everything was fresh and hot! The meat plates are identical, so you're just getting double the amount of everything. They come with fixin's and bread. The cornbread had a nice crumb to it, not too dry.The Jambalaya has a bit of heat in the sausage but the rest is very mild and tasty. The greens were soft and perfect. Generous portions all around. We drizzled some honey on the cornbread. Very satisfying!

I knew when I picked up the bag that I was probably going to be disappointed.4 pieces of properly fried chicken with 2 sides and bread in a bag should not feel like it could blow away in a strong wind. I'm still giving a thumbs up based solely on the sides; the mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery, the beans were a little al dente but smoky and tangy without being too sweet or salty, and the hush puppies were fluffy and flavorful. But the fried chicken itself was bland and both the breast and thigh pieces were dry and stringy. And omg the beignets, they were hard and dense, like, I tapped one against the table top to knock off the excess powdered sugar, and it sounded like I was knocking on a door! I still took one bite, just to give it a fair shot and it was just dense and chewy, like super stale bread. From the look of it, either they didn't proof the dough enough before frying, or they over proofed it and it just collapsed into the sad rocks I got when they fried it.

It's never as good as I want it to be, no matter what I order from here. The Mac and cheese is gross and oily, the cornbread is dry, everything lacks flavor, and the desert isn't good. A tiny piece of key lime pie for nine dollars is an absolute joke.
