• 3/31/24Te BEST comfort food in Santa Barbara! Love the freshness of the food and the quality is excellent! ALL the food was great! The fried chicken is out of this world! I had the Soul Plate with collard greens & black eyed peas....so GOOOOD! Ordered some BBQ Mac & Cheese, Cheesy Grits and Banana Pudding, ALL were YUMMY! Everything is homemade, but the Banana Pudding was homemade for sure (you don't get that alot with puddings at restaurants! Soul Bites never disappoints on any day, but on a rainy Easter, it's the absolute BEST! Would recommend Soul Bites to everyone !

• 1/8/23Soul plate has enough sides for two people to share a reasonable amount, but with extra chicken on the side. It is legit soul food, tastes clean, well prepared, not over salted. Glad to see this in Santa Barbara.

• 9/30/24small portions mac and cheese tastes strange collard greens too much vinegar. Soul Plate even the dessert Banana Pudding was tiny and $6! not worth it sorry

• 12/25/23Everything was absolutely delicious. Fried chicken was moist, flavorful and crispy. Cheesy grits perfectly cooked and potato salad perfectly seasoned. Amazing food. Can't wait to visit the restaurant in person.

• 10/16/24The chicken was super dry and filled with grisle bits. Mac and cheese was gritty like the sauce broke. the potato wedges were good. Mac n cheese was wrong size, unless it really is $14.50 for a tiny container. maybe it was an off night but yikes
