Dover is by far the best Chinese food in Nanaimo. we've tried most of the others in North nanaimo but dover is our favorite.

For the first time in years of ordering from Dover I had the worst experience ever tonight. The chicken balls, almond chicken, deep fried shrimp, and chicken chow main were horribly dry and you could taste the grease!! I had to throw half of the plate of food in the garbage - $130 order. I phoned to let them know and was told they would let the kitchen know. I wont be reordering in the near future.

I love the egg rolls so much from here. Crispy and delicious. The family dinners have a great variety as well, perfect crowd pleaser. Highly recommend!

This place used to be my go to Chinese restaurant for take out (walk in to order and grab & go in less than 20 min). But it seems like either the cook is changed because some of Chicken chow mein was very blend (couldn't feel any seasoning) and some of them were too salty (I actually chewed a little chunk of salt), and the BBQ Pork fried rice was well seasoned but I am having a weird sour? acidic after taste that doesn't taste like vinegar or some sort of lemon/lime juic.

the Beef Chop Suey was horrible. It used to be good, and the fried rice tasted weird. Im not ordering from here aanymore, the quality is poor.
