LISTEN UP PEOPLE LOOKING FOR REAL CARIBBEAN OR JAMAICAN FOOD. I'm from NYC and have truly been suffering without any jamaican food even close to being correct in the Bay. This place is the closest that delivers. Period. I have tried them all. The Oxtail Stew tastes the closest to correct and stew has the closest to the right consistency that you will find in this region (on a delivery app, at least). Is it perfect? No. Could it be better? Yes. But it is so much better than any other oxtail I've had in the Bay. It's generally trimmed correctly, tender, doesnt have a weird gamey taste, and the stew isnt broth or oily as fuck or filled with vegetables for no reason. For whatever reason, they serve the oxtail with white rice generally and they dont sell rice and peas as a side. Today, i received rice and peas with the oxtail but that's generally not the case even though i never check the white rice option. The Jerk Chicken Rice & Beans is okay but I generally get that mainly so I can have the oxtail with rice and peas like its supposed to be. The patty is good and flaky!! Anyway, def try them out!!

I ordered the Oxtail Stew and Ginger Beer. Not only was the stew missing any heat, it was also missing the flavor. It was easy to eat the meat off the bone because there wasn't much meat there. The plantain wasn't dry, but it wasn't sweet either. Thankfully, the rice tasted like rice. Ginger Beer had less kick than a dead donkey. And who is Theodore P? And why is it labeled a "Lemon Sherbet"?

The Oxtail Stew was extremely tender, smoky, juicy, I could be happy with just the extra gravy that got soaked up by the rice. Definitely worth getting and they're very generous with the rice and beans!

So happy to find a Jamaican spot that delivers to my area! They did not disappoint! Very generous portions! The jerk chicken was juicy and flavorful. The rice and peas were on point. The beef patties were not available so I was offered other choices instead. I chose a chocolate flan cake for dessert. So good! I'll definitely be ordering from here again.

One thing is for sure: many or most of their dishes with RICE, they SURE make the RICE the MAIN INGREDIENT- filling HALF of the ONE-inch-high plastic container with it. WHO NEEDS/WANTS SO MUCH RICE [we KNOW it's the CHEAPEST ingredient... so, DON'T show your customers that, you, too are too greedy & cheap to put MORE of it & less of the other food content...HOWEVER, REGARDLESS, even if we do NOT consider this business's financial profits/aspects, it should STILL allow under special requests, for customers to request LESS rice [otherwise, WHO eats such a huge quantity thereof? It ends up being WASTED & TOSSED in the garbage...-a WASTE for BOTH parties-customer & business!]. But, since this business does NOT accommodate customers with SPECIAL REQUESTS-WHY would I, a customer, even want to be bothered with such a business & reward it with my business money when it clearly does NOT care about me, as a customer but ONLY about my MONEY...[EVEN though it is DOORDASH's publishing decision-NOT the business owners! The owner STILL has the responsibility of checking HOW his business is listed on DD!]??? !!!
