The Fried Catfish was amazing! It tasted like my childhood growing up in Pierre Part! Perfect mix of spices,not too spicy for those of us who can't handle too much due to health reasons, but plenty enough for those who like a lot! The fries were perfect! My husband loved the Crawfish Étouffée,and it was a very generous portion! Our hotel has a fridge so I put my leftover fish in there. When we got back from a wedding in town, I had cold fish with ketchup as a snack like many a day after school growing up unless we had some mayo, ketchup, season salt, and tiny diced onions mixed up to make the best fish dip ever that we learned to make while living there. 3 of the best and most memorable years of my childhood! My mom passed away 31 years ago when I was 20, so thanks for the memory of her amazing cooking!

My medium rare boneless rib eye was exquisitely prepared,, traces of red in the juicy center. My cheesy stuffed potato had amazing buttery lumps that lingered in my palate. And the baby tender green beans were delightfully tasty,, as usual. I say this each time, and I'll say it again: this is the best Dons steak I've ever had. Thank you, Ashley! Thank you, Don's!

I hate writing this review, as Don's is an institution. However, our crabmeat au gratin was half-full, the snapper was bland, and all of the crawfish sides were meager. Included is a picture of the crabmeat au gratin. We were very disappointed with the entire experience.

The Zydeco Shrimp is just some small fried shrimp with some sweet spicy jelly on the side. For 20.00 I expected a bit more. No side , just a bed of slaw. It tasted okay.
The Wedge salad was sad. No tomatoes, just some blue cheese crumbles and bacon thrown in a container and a small chunk of lettuce.

Jacked Up Shrimp, maybe better at the restaurant. 6 shrimp with tones of cheese, not worth $22.00. Seafood Gumbo, ordered a large for $20.00. A few shrimp and no crab, didn't taste nothing like seafood gumbo. Compared to other restaurants, and way better the size was a medium.
