1989 WAS A G00D YEAR FOR CHICKEN It was the year that taste buds across south Louisiana rejoiced in the Krispy Krunchy® Cajun flavor of our mouthwatering fried chicken. Now, we’re the fastest-growing …
I love the place soo much, that I stopped dealing with everyone else. My only complaint now is.... Where did the biscuits go and Why???? They are so good, please put them back on the menu!!!! The entire neighborhood feels the very same way, the line is ridiculous around lunchtime. From the Great Fish,to the Tenders perfect sizes, the potato wedges are favorites and everything is Fresh. While this was decent fried chicken like you would make at home it had none of the characteristics of Krispy Krunchy chicken. It did have the crunchy coating and spices I get at the Greektown location. We were disappointed thank goodness there was a small discount.

This time around the chicken was cooked to perfection with the lemon pepper seasoning on it. And the fries were the bomb!😋 So in all I enjoyed my meal this time around.
Thank You Krispy Krunchy

Krispy Krunchy would be doing good if they had this location everywhere. Cajun Tender , Red Beans & Rice was fire, as in delicious.

I’m not sure if Krispy Krunchy Chicken was just having an off day, or if the quality has genuinely declined. When I first tried them, I was impressed—the food was fresh and flavorful. But this time, I ordered a 4-piece wing combo with fries, and the experience was underwhelming. The fries tasted old and had a strong fishy aftertaste, like they’d been fried in reused seafood oil. The chicken itself was just… meh—not terrible, but nowhere near the quality I remembered.
Unfortunately, this seems to be a common trend: restaurants that start off strong often let quality slip once they gain popularity, especially in urban neighborhoods. I hope this was just a fluke, but it left me second-guessing a return visit.
