This Sandwich place is def one of my favorites since childhood. Ive been going to the Rohnert Park location both on DoorDash and in the store itself and my experience was WAY better IN PERSON!
I've noticed when I order online things I pay extra for are not included. Last time I ordered extra cheese on my sandwich and recieved one layer of cheese. I decided today to give online another chance as I know mistakes can happen.
But this time I ordered a LARGE #6 Sub and paid a few bucks extra to make it a combo. I ordered a bag of Jalapeño Chips and a Dr Pepper.
I may be wrong as I usually buy items separately rather than a combo meal, but I thought ordering a Large Sandwich and switching it to "make a combo" would automatically give you a large drink included, I did pay an extra $2-$2.50 for the added combo. But Instead I recieved a small DrPepper...I was at least hoping for maybe a medium if I paid for large so I was kinda bummed out. I wasn't complaining to much tho as the sandwich came large and its the main course.
I will also admit this order was perfect besides the soda size. The taste and size was great, obviously fresh too! I still really enjoy this sandwich place, but from my experience I feel more comfortable ordering in the store.
Its very helpful to be there and address any concerns before you pay for your meal. Last time on DoorDash I was only offered a $3 refund when I paid about $20 for a meal here so it feels financially safer in the long run for me :)

5 inch sandwich had 3 pieces of thin ham for the whole thing. One thin slice of cheese, and no avocado which i paid extra for. Sandwich was mostly bread and very very dry. They forgot my macaroni salad and gave me the wrong cookie, and the cookie was way over cooked. I used to love this place, but for the prices and quality it's just not worth it.

The The Italian Stacker was really good and a good value having the option of twice the meat. I ordered it with just oil and vinegar, but it would be better with mustard and mayo.

I've usually ordered the same two sandwiches for years, first in person and recently via DoorDash. All the many orders delivered by DoorDash were perfectly made except for the last one.
This was the first time I've ordered on a Sunday, so I think maybe this was a different person making the sandwiches from the usual weekday person.
Now, to be honest, I do love mayo and always asked for extra when ordering in person. The Sunday person, however, went overboard on it, leaving the tuna sandwich soggy and mushy. When I tried to pick it up to eat, the sad sandwich felt into a wet, fishy mess.
Lesson learned. I still will keep ordering this shop's delicious sandwiches just, to quote the 1960s film, never on Sunday. This is why I'm giving this shop only four stars...for now.
