I love this store. I like their chicken salad. Since prices are so high now, they are using different recipes to make their
dishes. I prefer their chicken salad when their seedless red grapes are plentiful and there's enough mayonnaise in it. I must confess that I add candied pecans to it, but that's my preference. The fact that they make it so good is the point. TRY THIS STORE IF YOU HAVEN'T.

The whole family loves the soups and sandwiches from Downtown Roots for their freshness, quality, and generous portions. (My husband adores the Roast Beast with extra meat - it makes for a very filling dinner!) Their ingredients and flavors are always inventive and delicious; they're almost addictive! Definitely one of our favorite spots.

The grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwhich was really good. I tiny bit of heat made all the difference. One of my favorites. The Pasta Salad Also very good. A light flavorful dressing with just enough feta.. Very tasty filling lunch.

The gluten free option is incredible! The bread and wraps are tasty and do not fall apart like other GF sandwiches at other places. It is so fresh and everyone that works there is so welcoming and kind! So happy to have a place like this in Edenton!

The Cuban was delicious as always and we really enjoyed the Pasta Salad. The sandwich was enough to share for lunch and we definitely will order again. It's one of our go to's.
