I am a repeating customer and the Shrimp Tempura Roll is my go-to. They never disappoint! I hate when rice is mushy in sushi and YamaChen's rice is perfect on the roll. The ginger House Salad is so flavorful and I get it everytime.

Roll Combo Got the crazy volcano roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both were mid at best, flavors were way too similar, volcano roll was bland, tuna roll had so much avocado I couldn't taste the tuna :(( disappointed but ate it anyway because I spent $35 on it

I have my friend to thank (and maybe blame a little) for introducing me to my new obsession—this sushi spot is on another level. Truly the best sushi I’ve ever had, no exaggeration.
The shrimp tempura roll was crispy perfection wrapped in flavor—so satisfying and beautifully balanced. And the spicy salmon roll? Pure magic. Just the right amount of heat, super fresh, and melt-in-your-mouth good. I could eat both of those on repeat for the rest of my life.
The customer service was superb—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. You can tell they actually care about their food and their guests, which is rare these days.
Safe to say I’m now a loyal (and slightly obsessed) fan. Can’t wait to go back and try the whole menu.

Overall is a pretty good deal, I do have to say that $6 for two pieces of Salmon is a bit expensive. Although, the Salmon did taste very good. The Lunch Combo Pick 2 is pretty good overall. The California roll was fantastic, but the spicy salmon roll tasted a little strange.

I wish I had more money to buy from this vendor. Yama chen is the *ONLY* SUSHI house I've had since san diego that has been worth the money. don't even hesitate, this restaurant is in the .0001%, buy and enjoy. they deserve your business.
