Very disappointed with my first order from a highly rated restaurant. Surprised by how underwhelming and frankly bad. Steak and Frites had a steak that was without flavor and almost mealy, frites were soggy and not crispy outside, sauces were very underwhelming. Ceaser was weirdly powdery. Bread was fine and bean House-Made Soup of the Day had fine traditional flavor. Presentation was good. I was so surprised by the quality that I took my temperature after to see if I was just getting sick (and my taste buds were off). I wasn't. My dinner guest agreed with me on the quality. Sadly not worth $77.

36 has been our go to restaurant since we moved here two  years ago.. whether in person, doordashing, bringing a large group- its never been anything except wonderful. Tonight was the exception... not sure if there is a new chef or maybe someone was having an off day. The food was just not 36 quality. It wont keep us from ordering again in the future because we know how amazing it usually is but it was definitely dissapointing! We didnt finish any of our food- a steak, the bone in chicken and the bruschetta.
