If I could surm this dish in one word itd, be nostalgic. Growing up in a Bengali household, Rice and fish bhuna with veggies + daal was a staple. The fish was carp, which while a bit of a shock was still nostalgic. As for the daal and the veggies, that was quite remin of my mom's own cooking. The only gripes I have is that I wish there was more jhol (gravy) with the fish and that the fish was a little bony, but other than that, this meal was quite delicious and deeply nostalgic!

They add spicy in the food so it took off the flavor of the rice. and other ingredients.
