Shahs has great flavor! The taste never fails, portions are huge, and food is fresh! Would definitely order again soon.

Firstly the order came super late - I had to wait one and a half hour when it was showing estimated delivery in 20 minutes. It said "preparing order". After receiving the order, the food is not at all like it is when i order usually. There was no salad(which they usually put), the hummus tastes sour. Shah's halal is selling their Special Platter on a discounted price (buy one get one free) but the quality is so bad that I rather not get it. Also, the portion size is smaller than usual - seems like their one regular is divided in 2 boxes. Extremely disappointed with quality and portion size and would not recommend anyone ordering. Better to spend money at another place. Worst experience!

I love shah's halal food especially the combo over Combo over RICE (Lamb (contains beef) & Chicken)
Always a delight to have it and never disappoints. Highly fresh and the portion size is just amazing!
However, today I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the chicken was undercooked and slightly bland. Could and definitely should be improved.

Chicken Over RICE is best in DC. Good portion, spot on sauces. Falafel is a miss - spiced right but fry isn't made to travel and isn't the best, the other proteins just outshine. Would order again in a heartbeat

The lamb is cubed and not carved but the Lamb Gyro (all lamb) still had great flavor. only thing i really didnt like was how dried out the bread was. it was very tough. Watch out for the red sauce! It's spicy! (but delicious) Baklava was alright. a bit soggy, too much walnuts in comparison to the pastry but still yummy. I'd eat here again, just hope the bread wont be stiff again.
