This. Place. Rules! I had the basic cod Cod Basket and even though being delivered, the batter was light and crispy, the fish perfectly cooked, meaty and flaky.
SOOO many places get a simple fish & chips dish completely wrong. Frozen fish, overly breaded - that gets soggy instantly.
We need to shout out the few places who do things right. Fresh food, high end ingredients, perfectly cooked. This is the way.

I saw this place had good reviews and ordered expecting some classic fried fish, and was pretty dissapointed. As you can see it looked nothing like the photos and wasnt even actual full pieces of cod...just nuggets? They also werent remotely crispy despite being still being hot. The coleslaw was also not for me. On the other hand, the hushpuppies and onion rings were very good. Id potentially try them again someday but for $20 this was not it.

Odered $100 worth of fish over 2 days. First order was incredible, got perch and catfish. Portions were good. Second order received 4 pieces of catfish no where near a half pound. Same with frog legs. Come on guys. You have the best flavor. Keep it consistent. Please.

Shrimp Sausage Gumbo 16 oz was just a bowl of greasy juice, with no shrimp, no sausage and no gumbo flavor. The Strawberry Lemonade was very concentrated and had no ice, and no it was not cold, the taste goes from sour to bitter, almost like grapefruit. Extremely disappointed.
