Until today's order, I've only eaten within the downtown Coal Harbour location of de Dutch and I don't remember ever having such an awful hollandaise sauce there --I've also made my own hollandaise sauce countless times before -- all this to say that's what I received did not resemble hollandaise sauce, but rather something else. I don't know if it's specific to this North Vancouver restaurant or they're just being extremely cheap and not putting much butter or eggs in there (honestly I don't know what the heck they're putting in there, as but it tasted awful). The pancake itself was good, but the eggs were all supposed to be soft poach, and only one was borderline soft medium, and the rest were all basically hard boiled.

The Amsterdam dutch benedict no longer comes with hashbrowns you now have to oder it separately and pay and extra $4 and you cant just order plain hashbrowns they only offer it with peppers onions cheese and hollandaise sauce and they use way too much. I gave my order 2 stars because my son really enjoys their pancakes but other than that this place is not very good anymore.

For the price, I was disappointed. Little effort to keep food warm (they could learn from Tomahawk) and if I microwaved it the eggs would be over cooked.
