There's a young lady with glasses and I believe her mother who also has glasses that I believe runs the place. They are SO personable and make you feel like family. Their food is always consistent and perfectly cooked/seasoned. When I place pick up it is always on time. The portion size of the BBQ plate (my go-to) is perfect, I love the variety of sides. I've never picked up my order cold, or even warm, it's always hot and fresh. This place has become a regular place of mine, it's become comfort food. And such a fun place to hang out. The indoor and outdoor are both beautiful and always well kept. <3

SHACK SAMPLER PLATE is probably the best deal you can get right now in Raleigh. All my food was fresh and nothing was wrong with my items. It was all fresh and tasty. You get a good amount of food with all the different sides. Will order again! (pork BBQ was under the ribs in photo)

The ribs and Brunswick stew were very good! The wings were overcooked and dry. No dipping sauce was provided. The peach cobbler could have been better - there were no cobbler crumbs on top as expected.

Just not good. Ribs were dry and overdone, grilled chicken (I think it was grilled couldn't have been smoked as no taste) was not done and had to be tossed out...okra was great but overall the food was disappointing.

The best ribs I have ever eaten in Raleigh NC. Enough for two meals wow very impressive.
