I’m new to the area and had seen Grumpy Gallo recommended in TikTok reviews, so when I saw it on DoorDash, I was genuinely so excited to finally try it. It completely lived up to the hype.
The pernil was so tender it practically fell apart with the fork, with that deep, slow-cooked, perfectly seasoned flavor in every bite. The yellow rice was fluffy and flavorful, the gandules paired perfectly with it, and the tostones were golden and so good.
The chicharrón de pollo was amazing too. The breading was seasoned and crunchy, while the chicken inside stayed juicy and tender. Nothing was greasy or dry. Everything was just done right.
The beef empanadas deserve their own shoutout. They had that authentic Puerto Rican-style taste you hope for, with a flavorful, well-seasoned beef filling and a generous amount in every one. They were stuffed from end to end, almost bursting, and I loved every bite. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh and made with care, and I can already tell Grumpy Gallo is going to be one of my go-to spots!

I got the Empanada Combo with beef and cheese empanadas and the yellow rice. It is out of this world delicious! I can't wait to try more items!

The best nachos I've ever had. The shredded chicken is DELICIOUS. No photo because I ate it right away. The grumpy rolls are incredible.
