Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Best burnt ends I've had in a very long time. Pulled pork was very flavorful, but also had a lot of fat and connective tissue still attached. Loved the pop-over. The brisket chili was disappointing, the portion size as a side was very small and there was no evidence of brisket. It was all beans.

Really used to like this place - but it's gone downhill quality wise in a significant way since ownership has focused on expansion. Meat is bone dry and the sides aren't quite there from a freshness standpoint. Used to be rock steady and dependable. This last order had an entire meal missing - thankfully DoorDash took care of this for us. Not a place I'll order from again, sadly.

ordered 1/2 # of KC Burnt Endz 1/2 LB and they smothered them in sauce guessing for weight and to cover up old meat...deviled eggs not as advertised..potato salad Potato Salad Side had huge chunks of red potatoes so not flavorful whatsoever..

We love salt + smoke. And we are so excited to have one in Kirkwood.
We ordered take out recently and felt like the portions were horrible, especially for the price. We ordered the wings--which are always a favorite--and the 3 meats platter to share. The platter included very little meat. Not sure if they were trying to save the bbq or if they have peeled back portions due to the economy, either way I'll think twice before getting takeout again.
