The shrimp were fresh, well size, and not overcooked, which is something a lot of places get wrong. The cocktail itself had a really nice balance, bright, citrusy, and a flavorful without being over salty or heavy. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, especially the pico and avocado, which added great texture and depth

I recently ordered the Chile con queso side from Havana Restaurant and Bar, and I was genuinely impressed with both the quality and the overall experience.
First and foremost, the portion size was an excellent value. It is increasingly common for restaurants to serve queso in a small ramekin at a premium price, leaving you wishing you had ordered more. That was not the case here. The serving was generous and proportionate to the cost, making it feel like a thoughtful offering rather than an afterthought side item.
The tostadas were another highlight. They were fresh, crisp, and clearly not something that had been sitting out. Many establishments overlook this detail and end up serving stale or limp chips, which can detract from an otherwise good queso. Here, the tostadas were perfectly crunchy and complemented the queso well.
I also appreciated the packaging. I initially placed the order for pickup since I was just around the corner. The chips were packaged separately from the queso in a sturdy container that prevented them from getting crushed. This small but important detail preserved their texture and ensured that everything was fresh and ready to enjoy upon arrival.
When I went inside to retrieve my order, I was struck by the relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Rather than taking the food to go as planned, I decided to stay and dine in. The ambience was laid-back and welcoming, and karaoke was just getting started, adding a fun and lively energy to the space without being overwhelming.
Overall, the Chile con queso side exceeded expectations, not just in flavor and portion size, but in presentation and atmosphere as well. It is refreshing to see a restaurant pay attention to the details that truly enhance the dining experience. I would gladly order it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and well-executed side.
