The ribs and brisket were outstanding, tender and flavorful! The grits and mac & cheese were great. Portions of everything were generous.

Ruthie's is an incredible treasure. The lunch menu is impeccable. The brisket sandwich, cod sandwich, chicken sandwich, spicy soy chicken wings, collard greens, Mac n cheese and corn bread were literally the most delicious southern meal we've had in VA. I recommend a reservation. They were extremely pet friendly which made the visit even better!
DO NOT GET THE DEVILED EGGS! Needs more relish and mustard. Bacon would also be a nice addition as these are flavorless.

After a slew of crappy DDash orders, I had a very specific taste for a good brisket breakfast. The Brisket Hashwas SO good. It was cooked to perfection, had hella vegetables (which I LOVE/need). Only ask - add egg white to the egg options.

The spareribs were beyond perfect. Skillet Cornbread fantastic. The side of potatoes tasted like wallpaper paste.
