Meconis is the go-to place for subs in Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater for decades. There's a reason why. The food is spectacular, affordable and consistent.
They don't skimp on the portions, it's the same today as when I went to the first Meconis in Lacey in the 80s.

Best sub place around. Bread is always fresh, loaded with ingredients. The cookies are also incredible (peanut butter or choco chip, cant go wrong). Portion size is great - a "half" sub is basically a full size sub you would get from somewhere else.

I have eaten at Meconis for a few months, but in that time the Philly Cheesesteak (Half) meat has evaporated. I upon opening it looked like the bread has not even been cut. pulling apart the bread there was a tiny line of meat with a little cheese and some onions.
The store also seems to have an issue up updating the app, I sat for 5 minutes as the ETA clicked up and my sandwich sat cooling while the the app said they were still preparing.
Overall really not feeling going back to Meconis. I could overlook the lackluster service when the sandwiches were good, but now the sandwiches just don't carry that weight.

Philly Cheesesteak (Whole) add pepperchinis for $1.50 and get 3 huge stems in a whole sandwich. Usually eat here 1/week. This was a bummer!

The bread was limp tasted old
Very little mayo and mustard which I asked for
I have eaten Meconis for a long time and this was the first time it was awful
It was a later delivery so maybe they were just using up what they had
Makes me hesitant to try again
There was adequate meat but sparse on other condiments
Potato salad was dry and tasteless

It usually has been tasty
