4 years later and the food is still amazing!!! If you want extremely flavorful Dominican food, look no further! The Shrimp Mofongo, Grilled Skirt Steak, the rice and the beans… everything is seasoned so damn good!!!

I was excited to try Meson Tropical, but this order was disappointing. The food was packaged in foil trays and did not travel well, which affected the presentation and overall dining experience.
The biggest issue was the quality of the meats. The fried pork belly was extremely overcooked, dry, and tough to chew, and the meat in the mini Meson bowl was similarly overdone. Rather than tasting fresh and juicy, the meats seemed as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period. More importantly, the dishes lacked the bold seasoning and authentic Latin flavors I expected from a Puerto Rican/Dominican restaurant. The food was bland and did not have the homemade Caribbean taste that makes this cuisine special.
The Spring Meson Chicken Salad and Cod Fish were also underseasoned and uninspiring. The alcapurria was terrible—dry, flavorless, and nothing like a freshly made alcapurria should taste. The Passionfruit Mango Madness drink was forgettable and did not stand out. The stuffed potato ball was the only item I genuinely enjoyed.
Overall, the meal lacked consistency and flavor. I was expecting fresh, well-seasoned dishes that reflected the rich and vibrant tastes of Latin cuisine, but unfortunately this experience missed the mark. I hope improvements are made because the menu has a lot of potential.

the Spanish stew was amazing. all the food was delicious but the Spanish stew was the best I ever had. It was like I was having dinner at a friend's house and their mom made it. omg. I'm moving out of the area and will miss this gem.

The pernil and arroz con gandules is hands down the best in this county, there is nothing i have tried that i didn't like, el churrasco delicioso, el mofongo finger liking good, and let's not forget that 3 leches, just great food the closest to home cooking you gonna get

Goat Stew (Monday + Saturday) never disappoints it's my favorite and the portion is extremely reasonable.
