It is kind of insane to me that people left bad reviews of this place. I am shanghainese and grew up eating this food and can attest that the 本帮红烧肉鹌鹑蛋Braised Pork Belly & Quail Eggs was fork tender, a portion for one hungry person or two portions for someone with a smaller appetite. The flavor was divine and authentic and so yummy! I was dying for a great shanghainese spot... and I found it!

Ordered this in past and the portions were way bigger. They reduced the size to a single meatball when the description is meatball(s). They kept the price the same though. A single meatball was $28.95.

I am a white lady. so I know sweet and sour soup and the 酸辣湯 Spicy Sour Soup that I got was perhaps the best I have ever had. you can bet I have pretty much ordered it every time I have ever had Chinese food. This one Won. flavor perfect. contents. perfect. would not change a thing and will be ordering again. Everything else I got was good too but I can't compare like I can with the soup.

Only the soup is good.
The braised pork belly is soooo dry, can barely chew, not really edible, and not worth $23.95. Didn't see any crab roe in the tofu and taste is very plain. Given the price, very disappointed on what I got.

I had the 元盅蒸土鸡汤Slow-Simmered Chicken Soup . There was no flavor and very little chicken. don't waste your money on it.
