• 8/22/25I eat Illegal Pete's semi-frequently, many times ordered from DoorDash and this most recent time it was not great especially for the price.
I ordered a steak bowl with chips as my side and received maybe only 5 chips. Some of the steak was also very gristly and tough, so much so that I had to spit some out. I'll definitely think twice before ordering again.

• 3/23/26Illegal PETES IS HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO EAT IN DENVER! The crew off of 38th and Shoshone is by far some of the greatest humans I have ever met. They are kind, friendly and even remember you! The food is fresh and the quality is amazing! I eat here 3x a week at a minimum!!!!!! Love this place!

• 2/27/22Not the steak burrito and the chicken burrito had hard meat. The chicken was charred on some parts, other than that the burritos were tasty.
The sopapillas were a complete letdown though. There wasn't enough honey and kind of just tasted like sweet bread. One had burned meat on it. I would not get this again, rather just go to an authentic Mexican place for this one.
The izze is an 8oz can. You can get 4 at the grocery store for much less. But when you don't have any, for 3$ a can I guess it'll do.

• 11/11/25Price has increased and ingredients decreased. Steak bowl is 90% rice and a few tiny pieces of steak. Bummer. We used to love this place.
