• 4 days agoNormally I'm cheap and wouldn't order out my budget of $10 but I got a promo code so I decided to spoil myself with this spot but the Jerk Chicken was so good I'd be willing to buy it again without any promos. Also $15 is a very good price for the amount and taste. And although the portions looked a little small for me, It filled me up more than my usual spots.

BlIbe been searching for a restaurant who really knows how to cook oxtails , ( Jamaica style) paid a lot of good money for a hit or Miss, they were all MISSES... One day I seen an older lady from my hood, we were talking and she told me that she went to this restaurant named the Soul Spot, her being caribbean, when she said "Girl the Oxtail GOOD, And she is also fire in the kitchen, so when she said that the Oxtail was on point, portions were perfect and, the price is right..I went the next day and have been ordering quite frequently, The best Oxtail I have had since maybe 4 years ago from my daughter's Father's girlfreind, Long story Long
The FOOD IS EXCELLENT,Flavor is consistent, customer fr service very pleasant and patient with a person like me that wanna order EVERYTHING. OHHHH The MAC and CHEESE SLAPS !! Closest thing to home cook comfort food. I Love the Soul Spot, they did not change the flavor of Soul Food to conform to the changing faces in the neighborhood, Flavor is everything. I recommend, if your reading this post, check them out , You will NOT be disappointed. THE SOUL SPOT IS FULL OF SOUL!!!! I give them 5 stars and then some!!

• 8/9/23This place always hits the spot. The Chicken & Dumplings are by far some of the best I've had in NY. The Oxtail is tender, and the mac and cheese is so good. You can't go wrong ordering from here! My go-to if I want some delicious soul food.

• 1/9/23I absolutely can not stress enough how AMAZING this place is. The jerk chicken falls right off the bone and the flavor is immaculate. The Mac n cheese is perfect and the potato salad is so light and refreshing. Seriously they know what they're doing
