Metro Diner is hands the best place in G'ville for breakfast! The CHARLESTON SHRIMP & GRITS is a banger!! Especially when the grits are dropped in fresh grease. Perfectly browned and cooked, shrimp just right and fresh sausage! I love ordering on Sunday mornings. Shout out to the cooks and staff!!

Shepherd's Pie Great portion. Balance of potatotes to meat/veggies is great. For me a tad too much cheese, so much some was even unmelted, and the meat portion, while a good amount of meat, not enough beef flavor. B rating. Biscuits & Sausage Gravy  2 small biscuits and 2 large gravys hardly any meat. Usually more bread than gravy, odd but thankful for extra gravy (where's the sausage?) B rating. As for the Full Rack BBQ RIBS Eh. Full disappointment. Granted, this isn't a BBQ place so hubby was taking a risk. Since "baby back ribs" (how could they go wrong?) they did! Don't know when they were made or how long under a headlamp but wow - Completely dry, and I'm not just talking about the lack of BBQ sauce, which was lacking, but the actual ribs were not quite biting into jerky dry, but close. There's also hardly any meat on them. Hubby is humble and gave a C- but the only semi-edible ones were the 4 in the middle. The rest we're washing off and giving to the dogs.

Breakf Burgerast - Really big burger with added scrabled eggs; right now it's my favorite breakfast burger in Gainesville & on DoorDash. Really good price too

We ordered the fried chicken sandwich.  How about cutting it in half because trying to eat it like a normal sammie is just undoable.  The 2nd dinner we ordered was the "fish and chips".... I didn't like this at all.  I expected a battered crust like normal fish and chips but didn't get that.   It was 2 slices of fish thinly coated and it wasn't tasty at all.  I ate half of it simply because I spent $50 on the dinner and wasn't going to waste it.  The fries that came with both meals were hard.  Almost like they may have been yesterday's fries.  Those didn't get eaten at all.  This entire dinner was not a good meal.  We haven't tried the chocolate cake yet either and oh, I will also add, the side salad with ranch was the best thing in this whole meal.  Probably won't be ordering again; we should've stuck with Culver's.  Yea no, thumbs down on Metro Diner for this family.
