It was really tasty and you really get a lot for the price! My entree came with a small salad, minestrone soup, and bread! Plus they included some chili flakes and Parmesan in the package, which I appreciated.

Scarantino's has been there for about 50 years, is family owned and operated, and Jim S. or other family is always on site. This has been my favorite Italian restaurant in the Glendale/Pasadena/Burbank area for decades, and I grew up on Italian food in Buffalo, NY, so my standards are high!
This is traditional, Italian "comfort food", complete with red checkered tablecloths, and it doesn't get much better than this! I don't think I've ever had better Eggplant Parmigiana, frankly!
Those looking for "trendy" Italian food should go to the West Side!

orderfrom here often. today and last time barely any Marinara on eggplant, eventhough asked dasher to check. Also this time and last angelhair pasta about 2/3 or less of the usual amount
this time there was substitute for the Italian bread....? New owner? New Chef?

He gets the linguini and clams, I the piccata. Always so good and enough to enjoy a long, languid meal with leftovers!

Very generous portions , delicious marinara, something I love and am kind of picky about. Ever thing was prepared perfectly and even looked as good or better than the photos posted by DD. We will definitely order again soon
