Spinning Bones is a California rotisserie restaurant that specializes in roasted meats with bold flavors. The focus of the menu is slow roasted meats: poultry, pork and beef, rotating on spits over hi…
Black pepper beef is a favorite! The beet salad is also *chefs kiss*. So far everything we've had from Spinning Bones has been phenomenal. The Trips Triple was delicious - enough for two ppl if you get an appetizer.

The steak was nearly raw , all white fat cold. The slaw, the chimichurri and potato salad all lacked salt as did the steak itself. The chimichurri was a bowl of oily mess. No real flavor. The Brussel sprouts tasted okay but were heavily greasy. Again a little light on the salt. The chicken licken bites were good but the sauce lacked any real zing or distinct flavor. The best dish of this New Year's Eve splurge was the chicken liver pate. It hit 10/10.
But that said, I walk away disappointed and feeling a fool for spending this much money.

That was the best chicken salad I've ever tasted. So many flavors in my mouth at one time. Excellent, fresh, perfect flavors, dancing in my mouth. Wow, I'll get that again and again. The corn fritters were amazing. Moist and tender, so good.

We really want to love Spinning Bones, but the amount of food for the price is just not worth it. $17 (plus DD fees!) for FIVE smashed potatoes is insulting. Such a bummer.

Delicious! We ordered a bunch of the sides and they're fantastic. Corn fritters came with strawberry jam, and made an amazing combination I'd never heard of before. One problem: the smashed potatoes came laced with bacon, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. (I don't eat bacon, but my partner does, and she says the dish was lovely.)
