• 7/12/26STAY AWAY FROM THEIR Cream of Crab Soup! My family is originally from New England, I was born and raised just outside DC, in MD, while spending enough time in Baltimore that it became like a second home. So basically it is illegal not to like seafood, especially lobster and crab. I've loved cream of crab soup since I was a young child and when trying out a new restaurant w/it on the menu I will usually try it.
While we have ordered from this restaurant several times in the past, I had not yet tried their cream of crab soup. Now I have had some unfortunate ccs in my life, however this was, by far the worst. To start off with it wasn't even close to the consistency of soup, cream based or not. Instead, it was the consistency of puréed potatoes, like baby food or overly mixed mashed potatoes. This is in absolutely no way an exaggeration. I know it's not easy to run a restaurant and would never want to harm a business w/a bad review unless the food was uneatable, which unfortunately their cream of crab soup was. Besides the consistency being so thick that it stayed stuck to my spoon when I turned it upside down. My husband initially thought it was the Creamy Crab Dip he ordered bc of how heavy the container was. The taste was also off.
As for the Creamy Crab Dip it's ok, but amazing . My husband likes it it a little bit better than I do bc he has ordered it before. Idk why bc it never gets finished. It also not that creamy and they use too much cream cheese. I do think it's probably much better if it's just out of the kitchen so I would only order this if I was eating at the restaurant.
We order from here bc my husband really likes the Fresh Rockfish Sandwhich. This is the place we order from when I'm not that hungry and tell him to pick a place. Their onion rings are fantastic so I will order a ceasar salad which is also good with a side of onion rings.
If you want dessert their Smith Island cake is delicious. Sometimes we get a slice to split but always end up fighting over the lasts few bites lol. You should probably just get two slices.
