I wish the other JGumbos stores were the same as this one (Clifton store on Ludlow). Toasted garlic bread instead of plain untoasted bread, and they have amazing Eggnog Bread Pudding . The Tortilla Chips portion is smaller, but that's a small price to pay.

I ordered Bumblebee and Etoufee in the Choose 2 option. the Etoufee only had two shrimps, and the sauce was a bit muddy, but the Bumblbee soup was quite tasty. I asked for jalapenos and got a generous serving. The cornbread was highly rated but was overly processed; I like a coarse grain. But the garlic bread was very good.

I did the Choose 3... got shrimp etouffee, gumbo, red beans and rice. I'll start with the good: -felt portion was fair for price - arrived plenty warm and accurate -solid amount of shrimp in etouffee, was pleasantly surprised -plenty of the sauces, so I wasnt left with plain rice - Bread Pudding was A++++, perfect amount of sweet and cinnamon - French bread was fresh, perfect size, good butter:bread ratio
Not as good: Pick 3 tasted fine, nothing bad, but was lacking in the flavor department, especially for creole/cajun-centric cuisine. I wasnt expecting a ton of flavor from a chain-place, but none of the 3 had even what I'd call "Louisianna lite" vibes. Again, wasn't bad at all, I just didnt get the Creole/Cajun fix from it, Id hoped for. I give 10/10 for everything the indvl restaurant has control over, but 5.5/10 for "corporate's" recipes.

I wasnt feeling good and this was the perfect meal to make me feel better. The Red Beans & Rice was just the right spice level and was the perfect portion. I wasn't still hungry and wasn't super full; just right. And the Bread Pudding was absolutely perfect.10/10.

OH. MY. GOSH! 5 stars for sure. Not only was the food delicious but they were kind enough to remake order when it was taken by dasher. The bourbon street chicken was amazing. The bread pudding? OMG! new fav spot
