• 6/22/266/20/26: Ordering from Vallarta Supermarket La Cocina will try their Menudo from here. I’ve tried several restaurants for their Menudo; 1) Sarita’s Mexican grill, Monterey {$15.99}, comes with small cut up pieces of meat, tripe, Hominy and spices with cilantro 🌿, diced onions, oregano, and crushed red chili 🌶️ peppers. Served in a styrofoam container with tortillas for a side. Tasted okay but nothing that you’d be excited about. 2) Taqueria Zarape, Seaside {$15.25} comes in a large plastic container which is always filled up with the BEST TASTING, FLAVORED, FRESHNESS pieces of meat and tripe🥇😋😘 which are big. The juice / sauce is really flavored and give you Cilantro, diced onions, oregano, and crushed red chili 🌶️ peppers with Tortilla on the side. It’s so good always looking forward to weekend to re order again and again. BEST VALUE 🤑 3) Mexico Maxico, Salinas~ Salas {$22.76} comes in a paper container filled up but very oily juice. Very little meat and/or tripe. The Spanish rice was very odd taste and tastes like they used cilantro. Overall I didn’t enjoy the menudo from Mexico Maxico and would not order from here again. In addition to ordering the Menudo {Weekend only} I ordered the Aguas Fresca 24 oz. bottled Horchata {$5.99}, Ensalada Papa {$5.99}, and Flour Chicharron Pinwheels 4 oz {$3.69}. Definitely cheaper for the Menudo than Mexico Maxico {$22.76} which is very oily.
Total for this order {$41.93} including long distance fee {Marina} and Dasher Tip.

Order arrived, delivered in a large brown paper bag. Wow! Glad it wasn’t 2 hours to deliver from Salinas~Salas{10.6 miles}. Orders from this place Arrived I’ve experienced the food being good and bad depending on who prepares it. I never been , to this place but I believe it’s a grocery store that sells different prepared dishes🤔. The Menudo was not in a 24 oz container as stated on the menu. Arrived lukewarm , it did come with onions, cilantro, crushed chile pepper. Very little amount of meat and/or tripe. Not very flavorful, I wouldn’t order the menudo from here.Looking for good menudo? Order from Taqueria Zarape, it’s worth waiting for the delivery. The Agua Fresca was delicious nice and sweet. Potato salad was good with nice chunks of diced potatoes. Everything I ordered was good except for the menudo.

• 6/25/266/24/26: Placed another order from Vallarta Supermarket La Cocina {Salinas-Salas} thru Door Dash🚗. Ordered 1/2 Dozen Tamales @ $20.69 {Beef, Sweet Corn, Chicken, & 3 Pork}🫔, and 24 oz. Bottled Agua Fresca {Espinica / Pina}, Ensalada Papa {$5.98}, and 4 0z, Flour Chicharron Pinwheels {3.69}. Trying the tamales for the first time from here, I’ve tried the Ensalada Papa and it comes in a small container with nice and creamy, big pieces of potatoes, which is good {I’ve ordered several times}, the 24 oz Bottle Agua Fresca comes in a sealed bottle with cut up pieces of Pina, again ordered several times.Chicharron Pinwheels are good, just add hot sauce when eating them. Received my order which came in a large brown grocery paper bag. The food from this Grocery store is Hit or miss when it comes to quality? Depends on who’s cooking, cooked, and/or preparing the food ordered. Chicharron Pinwheels were in a plastic bag and sealed, nice crispy and light. Ensalada Papa was sold out, so I chose a substitute replacement {Mexican style Potatoes?}. Agua Fresca sealed 24 oz plastic bottle with great taste. Tamales {1/2 Dozen} Beef, Chicken, Sweet Corn, and (3) Pork. They come in a sealed plastic bag already steamed. They’re pretty good, only thing missing is salsa, they would taste better with a red or green salsa. The sweet corn tamale is very dry! Wouldn’t order this one. Pork is moist and tastes good and has chopped up green peppers. I would repeat this order.
