"8/14/2025 Panda Express in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. They always pack the food well and the portions are great. The 2 choice "Plate" is what we got. Chow funn is my favorite and fried rice is my bf's. The greens are bright and fresh looking. The taste is always consistent, which is greatly appreciated. String bean chicken & beef broccoli for me, kung pao chicken & Beijing beef for him.
BUT, DoorDash please remove the apple pie rolls from the menu because they no longer offer it (seasonal?). Panda Express did replace the rolls with another appetizer for me, which I appreciate."

While the portion was generous, things quickly went downhill as we started to eat it. OMG--it's a miracle nobody lost a tooth! The deep fried pieces of pork were so tough and also flavorless, and the sweet sour sauce was meh. And lastly, the 58. Salt & Pepper Pork Chop was also extremely disappointing. This very popular dish which we order often at other restaurants was amazingly bad. Other restaurants fry the pork pieces with a light dusting of flour or cornstarch and stir fry again with fresh garlic, chilis, and S&P. However, their version was actually battered and fried with slices of garlic which may have originally been dehydrated--not sure. But the battered pieces were nice and soggy from sitting in the takeout container and the flavor was also just not there.
This is not my first order from Lobster King and I have ordered other dishes many times with excellent results which is why the above was truly disappointing. You know, how you want to have a great go-to where you know you are going to be happy shelling out $150 for a takeout dinner? Anyhow, the shrimp egg fuyong and beef with vegetables, which we have ordered before, were excellent this evening--the only redeeming dishes from the entire dinner. And in the past we have ordered fried rice, chowfun and other dishes which have not disappointed. I will still go there but I know exactly what to order when just a couple of dishes are required for lunch or a quick dinner."

"Everything was delicious! I ordered the Char Siu, Roast Pork, Char Siu Fried Rice, and Crispy Gau Gee (3). The Char Siu was delicious, flavorful, and moist. About half was lean pieces and half were fattier pieces. The Roast Pork was on the saltier side and the flavor is definitely similar to something youd get in china town. Cut up into bit sized pieces and not excessively fatty like a lot of other places. The Char Siu Fried Rice had amazing flavor and the one order is defintely enough for two people to share. The Crispy Gau Gee (3) had good flavor but had a very thick wrapping and not enough meat filling. It was alright but the gaugee probably isnt worth the price when ordering. "

I have yet to try my Coconut Cream Pie Cheesecake because I am simply too full, in quite the food coma if you will. But I have the utmost confidence that it will surpass my greatest expectations when the time is right. The Cheesecake Factory has never let me down... whether I eat it on the mainland or Hawaii, it always marvelous . Do not ever let anyone shame you for eating from a "chain" restaurant.
