"I've been going to Flavor Of India for decades, since it was a reliable spot to hit up before a show at the Troubadour. While I miss the lovely patio at that location, I have to say that since they settled in at the Sunset location the quality of the food is now unbeatable. The chicken also tasted very old, like it had been cooked and stored for a long time. I ended up throwing the entire meal away. "I've been here many times and the food is great! It's cooked fresh by the owner and the quality of the ingredients is the best, fresh and delish!
Not as spicy as I like it, but I always let them know and they adjust the heat level. My favorites are the pooris, potatoes and a tandoori meat platter. Owner works hard as does his wife and there is also a little grocery with Indian/Pakistani/ Burmese ingredients. Great outdoor space too. I go with my little dog and delivery is timely too. The food lasts in the fridge so you know the ingredients are good quality.
