• 9/4/26Repeat customer here. This has become my go-to place for flavorful food. Large portions -- good value for the price compared to other SF restaurants. Small restaurant, but clean and good health score from the Health Department.

• 8/26/26The food was so filling, don't be fooled by the way the pictures might look. It was hot, it was labeled, they thanked us for ordering. The taste was so flavorful, I could taste the spices. You do not need to add any other spices or sauces to these dishes. The Injera was nice and spongey, soaked up the food very well. Would order again.

• 8/17/26I've tried several of their vegetarian dishes. This time it was their Misir Wot. Loved it -- spicy with a flavorful simmering heat rather than the kind that has you constantly drinking water. Their Baklava was excellent. Apparently they get it from a bakery that exclusively makes baklava.
I lived in the Washington DC metro area where there's a relatively large Ethiopian population and great Ethiopian restaurants. Moya would fit right in. The prices are very reasonable. Good value for money in San Francisco. And the place is clean (per Health Score on Yelp.) When I went to pick up my order, I thought the place was very nice -- small and cozy.

• 11/27/25I absolutely adore this restaurant and get food here at least once a week-ish whenever I'm in the city. I always get the same thing because I love it. Doro Tibs, Ayd and Injera. Sometimes I splurge for baklava as well.
The Doro tibs tastes amazing the next day as well. I eat it hot. I eat it cold. It is my absolute favorite.

• 7/23/26Injira was great but I wanted more flavor. It wasn't spicy or flavorful enough compared to east bay Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurants. Maybe it was an off day?
Quality was great though, you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Vegetables were colorful and crisp. Nothing tasted bad at all, to be honest it was overall really good but in comparison to other Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurants I've eaten at (tried many in DC/Maryland/Virginia and east bay), the flavors were too mild.
