"This visit was very disappointing, especially as a repeat customer. Considering how expensive the food is, I expected much better quality. The dish had far more grilled onions than chicken, which was frustrating. The fries were soggy and tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. "Another great experience at The Battlefield Country Store! I normally eat there, but this morning I wanted to grab something quick to bring home to my husband for breakfast. I ordered the Build Your Own Sandwitch a side of eggs and bacon before leaving my house, and by the time I arrived about 10 minutes later, it was already waiting for me!
Everything was hot and fresh, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The lady who works the counter in the mornings is also always so pleasant. She’s constantly smiling, friendly, and makes you feel welcome every time you come in.

"The mashed potatoes were extremely bland, dry and awful; the fries weren't awful; they were crispy but under-seasoned. The gravy was meh.. Not great but not awful. The Country Fried Steak itself, was good, but could have been better.
The loaded hashbrown casserole, I think, was the only things I very much, enjoyed. It had good flavor and tasted really nicely done. But sadly, everything else was awful.
The mashed potatoes, like I said, were dry, bland and honestly tasted old and not fresh at all.
Ultimately, super disappointed. I used to really enjoy cracker barrel, but it seems the food quality isn't very good. For $20 a meal, I expected better. I couldn't really tolerate what I ate, and my father wasn't too thrilled with his, either. (We got the same thing, except he got a loaded baked potato instead of the hashbrown casserole)
